Designed with Intention: Meet Brooke
The idea for Brooke started with a very real need in my everyday life. I wanted a bag that could carry the things I use most - my iPad mini, my planner, and the little pieces that keep me grounded throughout the day. Something I could take on my commute, to a coffee shop, or straight into the evening. Practical, but still elevated.
I stayed with our smooth Nappa top-grain leather because it already felt like home to me. There’s a softness to it that I don’t think any other material captures. It relaxes in all the right places and slowly molds itself over the years. I love that kind of aging, where a bag doesn’t just last, but becomes more personal with time.
When I thought about how the bag should function, I immediately pictured those in-between moments of daily life. The times when you’re rushing to catch the train, reaching for your phone, grabbing your wallet, juggling a million things at once. I knew Brooke needed to feel intuitive. Easy to open, easy to close; no fumbling, no hesitation. That’s why I chose a magnetic closure. Something simple, seamless, and made for real life.
The strap followed the same intention. I’ve always preferred adjustments that don’t feel like work, so I designed it to adjust on just one side. Quick, clean, and effortless. And when you shorten it into a handbag, the tail end has a small magnet that snaps neatly into place. It’s a subtle detail, but one that makes the bag feel quietly thoughtful.
I also paid attention to what our community shared with us. Many asked for gold hardware, and I understood why. It adds warmth and richness to our Midnight and Coffee colors, giving just enough shine to feel elevated while still staying true to Moséna’s understated sensibility.
Designing Brooke was a process of listening, both to my own routines and to the people who carry our pieces, and noticing the small frustrations and joys that define everyday life. I wanted a bag that supports those moments, not complicate them. A piece that adapts with you: crossbody, shoulder bag, or handbag, depending on what the day asks for.
In the end, Brooke became exactly what I hoped it would be: a functional, beautiful companion designed with intention. A piece shaped by real moments and real needs.
