Our Story

Moséna New York was born from a love for designer handbags and a commitment to quality, practicality, and craftsmanship. My co-founder (Kyle Guilven) and I (Trisha Dagpin) set out to create a brand that offers classic, well-crafted leather bags without the unattainable price tag of high-end luxury. Our bags are designed to carry your essentials while becoming part of your personal journey. 

The name Moséna is inspired by two goddesses: Mnemosyne, the Greek Goddess of Memory, and Alunsina, the Filipino Goddess of Creation. These figures represent our philosophy—creating meaningful, lasting pieces that seamlessly fit into your life and the memories you create along the way.

A Letter From The Founder

Growing up, I was fascinated by my mother’s handbag collection, but one bag stood out—a classic black leather bag she carried everywhere. It was her go-to, her essential. No matter where she went—work, family gatherings, or quiet moments to herself—that bag was always by her side, a silent witness to her journey. It wasn’t just an accessory; it held her strength, confidence, and the stories of her life.

That memory stayed with me. And years later, when I lost my job, I found myself searching for purpose. In that uncertain time, I kept coming back to that bag—to the idea that a handbag is more than something you carry; it carries you. That realization sparked Moséna—a brand inspired by the pieces we reach for again and again.
