I wanted a bag that didn’t just look good, but one that felt like an extension of you—something you instinctively reach for, knowing it will carry everything you need without weighing you down. A bag that complements your style, rather than competing with it.
Designing Amelia
When it came to designing our first bag, I knew it had to be the kind of piece that blends seamlessly into your life. The perfect balance: structured yet soft, roomy yet sleek, elegant yet effortless. I spent months refining the silhouette—sketching, testing, and reworking every detail—until it finally felt just right.
Moséna is named after two goddesses: Mnemosyne, the Greek Goddess of Memory, and Alunsina, the Filipino Goddess of Creation. From the beginning, I wanted our designs to reflect both—pieces that are not only beautifully made but also become part of your everyday moments, your memories.
The Quality That Makes the Difference
A bag should feel as good as it looks, which is why I chose top-grain Nappa leather. It’s incredibly soft to the touch yet durable enough to age beautifully over time. This is a bag that’s meant to be worn in, not worn out. The hardware was just as intentional—subtle, elegant, and designed to last.
I also wanted Amelia to feel personal in the details. The adjustable shoulder strap lets you customize the length for a perfect fit. The lining is unique to each color, with the ivory bag featuring a soft lilac interior—a quiet nod to Moséna’s signature color. An inside pouch keeps essentials organized, and even the custom zipper tag was designed with intention. Every small touch adds up to something that feels distinctly yours.
What I’ve Learned & What’s Next
Designing Amelia taught me patience, precision, and the beauty of making something truly meaningful. Every choice—big or small—shaped not just the bag, but Moséna’s identity.
